Terms of Service

Refine Text helps rewrite selected text from macOS using a hosted AI rewrite service. You are responsible for reviewing generated text before using or sharing it.

Requires macOS 26.0 or later.

You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use Refine Text. Refine Text grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to install and use the macOS app with your account for its intended purpose. The app and service are licensed, not sold.

Free and paid quotas are enforced monthly. Premium billing is handled through Polar, including checkout, subscription management, and invoices. You can manage billing from the Account page or the macOS app.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual period until canceled. You can cancel through the Polar customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Prices and taxes are shown before purchase. Contact support for refund requests; any mandatory rights under applicable law still apply.

AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing output and deciding whether to use it. Do not rely on Refine Text as a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

Do not use Refine Text to violate laws, abuse services, bypass quota enforcement, or process text you do not have the right to submit to an AI service.

The service may change, experience interruptions, or discontinue features. Refine Text may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, nonpayment, or violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may delete an eligible account from the Account page.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Refine Text is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

These terms may be updated as the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
